Currently there are 11 veterinarians with a support staff of 65 CSRs, LVTs, vet assistants and administrative staff.
Leatherstocking Veterinary Group is looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join our office team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operations of the company, including accounts payable and general ledger maintenance.
The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate financial records.
Maintain accurate intercompany transactions Perform bank reconciliations.
Manage and accurately record deposits Manage accounts payable-responsible for timely and accurate data entry Handle vendor inquiries and complaints.
Maintain communication with all business units Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
The successful candidate must be familiar with common accounting procedures and terms, possess a good working knowledge of Quickbooks and Excel and have the ability to learn a practice management system.
